Start with a story
Choose adventure, everyday life or history. Read the dialogue, then say it out loud.

Turn curiosity into confident communication.

Follow a story. Read it aloud. Write your own lines. Practise with AI. We’re building an English-learning experience that adapts to the way you learn.
THE STORY BEHIND THE METHOD
Heinrich Schliemann (1822–1890) is famous for his work at Troy. Less widely known is his reputation as an extraordinary language learner, driven by a determination to use languages in real life.
In his own account, he describes reading extensively aloud, writing about subjects that interested him, seeking corrections and repeatedly reviewing what he learned. He reported making striking progress in short periods of study.
We’re bringing that spirit of active practice into a modern format: engaging manga stories, your own spoken and written responses, and AI guidance that changes when you need a different explanation.
Schliemann’s rapid progress is largely known from his own accounts. This project draws inspiration from his approach; it does not promise equivalent results or timelines.
A FOUR-PART LEARNING LOOP
Rather than giving everyone the same lesson again, the planned system uses your answers and feedback to suggest the next helpful explanation.
Choose adventure, everyday life or history. Read the dialogue, then say it out loud.
AI reviews written answers, speaking practice and your own feedback to spot patterns worth working on.
Ask for a simpler line, a diagram, a mini manga scene or a new example tailored to the difficulty.
Speak, write and repeat in context, then check what has become easier.
INSIDE A FUTURE LESSON
Imagine stopping on a line of dialogue. You ask why it works; your AI tutor gives a simpler example, then helps you use the phrase yourself.
This interface is a design illustration, not a screenshot of a completed app.
AI tutor: We often use “will” for decisions and intentions about the future. Example: “I will study tonight.” Now write one thing you plan to do.
FUND ONE REAL START
We are not asking supporters to fund an entire university. The first milestone is a testable English course prototype combining manga, spoken practice, writing and AI feedback.
The final target, schedule and campaign terms will be set after cost estimates and platform review.
This is a gross fundraising target, not a guaranteed development budget. Platform fees, rewards, publicity and taxes may reduce the net amount available.
Illustrative allocation totals JPY 5,000,000 and will be revised against actual quotations and platform terms.
We are reviewing platforms suited to an education-focused project. A 0% organiser fee does not necessarily mean zero fees for supporters. Final charges and conditions will be explained on the chosen platform.
HELP MAKE THE FIRST LESSON REAL
We are exploring rewards that share the creative process and let supporters experience the learning materials early.
A thank-you and behind-the-scenes development updates
Limited digital English manga and creator notes
Invitation to a prototype experience and project materials
Optional acknowledgement, subject to approval and consent
Reward amounts, availability and delivery dates are proposals only. The official campaign terms will prevail.
Organisations may explore education sponsorship, co-created learning material or licensed character use across advertising, websites and products. Commercial rights require a separate agreement with the relevant rights holders.
FROM PROPOSAL TO PROTOTYPE
Define practical learning goals; create stories and read-aloud and writing activities.
Develop speaking, question-and-answer, writing feedback and adaptive explanations.
Test with learners, measure usability and improve the content and feedback.
Review quality, rights and access conditions before publishing the initial course.
THE IMPORTANT DETAILS
Here is what is planned, what is not yet available, and what support would mean.
Not yet. We will open contributions only after selecting a crowdfunding platform and confirming the terms.
No specific timeline or outcome is promised. We draw on his reported habits of intensive study, then plan to test our own teaching approach.
Original licensed works are the foundation of the course. AI-generated supplementary content will follow agreed permissions and creators’ rights.
Not yet. This is a development proposal. The illustrated screens and examples are not a live service.
Eligibility, currencies, payment methods and any extra charges will depend on the selected crowdfunding platform and your country.
No. Advertising, product packaging and other commercial uses require separate permission and licensing agreements.
ONE COURSE. A NEW POSSIBILITY.
Help us build a more personal way to read, speak and write English through stories and AI.
Campaign dates and final conditions will be published when confirmed.
